THE SUMMIT MARKS A RENEWED PUSH TO DEEPEN REGIONAL COOPERATION.

Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre is en route to Brasília, Brazil, to participate in the Brazil-Caribbean Summit, scheduled for Friday, June 13, 2025.

The Summit, held under the theme "Moving Closer to Unite", marks a renewed push to deepen cooperation between Brazil and the Caribbean in response to global and regional challenges. Discussions will centre on five key priorities: food and nutritional security, climate change, energy transition, disaster risk management, and connectivity.

The high-level meeting will also address wider regional concerns, including coordinated support for Haiti and shared positions ahead of major global forums such as COP30. It provides a platform for fostering stronger multilateral ties, encouraging development cooperation, and advancing mutual interests through dialogue and practical initiatives.

Prime Minister Pierre is expected to deliver an intervention on Friday, June 13, 2025.

During the Prime Minister's absence, Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Ernest Hilaire will serve as Acting Prime Minister.
