THE DEPARTMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE, PORTS AND TRANSPORT INVITES RESIDENTS OF SALTIBUS, FOND ST. JACQUES AND BELLE PLAINE TO COMMUNITY MEETINGS
The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport invites residents of Saltibus, Fond St. Jacques and Belle Plaine to community meetings to discuss the Saint Lucia Renewable Energy Sector Development Project (RESDP). This project involves the drilling of exploratory geothermal slim wells in Saltibus, Fond St. Jacques and Belle Plaine.
The aim of the meeting is to inform community members about the rationale, goals and scope; provide project updates; identify next steps; discuss stakeholder engagement; introduce the Grievance Redress Mechanism; and address all public concerns about the project.
The scheduled dates for the abovementioned community meetings are as follows:
- at the Saltibus Combined School for residents of Saltibus and environs on Monday 19, June;
- at the Green Room for residents of Fond St. Jacques on Tuesday 20, June and;
3. at the Country Lime for residents of Belle Plaine on Wednesday 21, June.
All meetings will begin promptly at 6:00 pm and will run until 8:00 pm.
