The performance is part of the 2017 activities celebrating Saint Lucia's Nobel Laureates.
The Silver Shadow Performing Arts Academy in celebration of its 25th anniversary, has collaborated with the Nobel Laureate Festival Committee to present an evening of dance.
The production titled "La Luna - Tales by Moonlight" depicts the untold stories of our subconscious minds revealed in a series of dreams that occur beneath the moonlit sky. The dreams reveal desires, troubles, aspirations, history, hopes and fears. It is beneath La Luna that these stories unfold, and it is through La Luna’s guidance that dreams unravel to become the realities of tomorrow.
La Luna was conceptualized and choreographed by Silver Shadow Artistic Director, Barry George, and will be performed by a cast of talented and dedicated dancers.
This is the academy's eighth production in collaboration with the Nobel Laureate Festival Committe, and it has become a signature event, inspiring the organization to continuously execute work of the highest excellence in-keeping with the festival’s 2017 theme, "Celebrating Excellence: Fostering National Pride."
The event will take place on Feb. 3 and 4 at the National Cultural Centre, and will consist of three showings: a matinee show for primary and secondary schools starting at 1 p.m. on Feb. 3; an opening night on Friday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m.; and a grand finale on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 8 p.m.
