Representatives publicized the island's range of activities and accommodations to Canadian travel agents.
The Saint Lucia Tourist Board (SLTB) Canada, in collaboration with Rex Resorts recently conducted joint sales calls in southwestern Ontario.
SLTB representatives visited 13 travel agencies in the cities of Sarnia and Windsor over a two-day period, promoting the island's range of activities, its Preferred Agent Saint Lucia Specialist (PASS) program, and updates on the three Rex Resorts properties.
The SLTB also took the opportunity to meet with local Sarnia radio station, The Fox 99.9, in preparation for an upcoming Saint Lucia promotion. The CAD$40,000 radio campaign is scheduled to run in October, and will feature 30-second radio promotions, live announcer reads, on-air interviews, and numerous social media deliverables, asking listeners to register to win the ultimate 7-night vacation to Rex Papillion in Saint Lucia.
SLTB Canada also supported Sears Travel St Catharine's, as the travel agency took part in the 50th anniversary celebration of Sears Pen Centre. The two-day celebration featured radio and newspaper promotions of a three-night giveaway to the Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa in Vieux Fort.
