AMONG THE KEY PROVISIONS ARE SALARY INCREASES OVER THE THREE-YEAR PERIOD AND ENHANCED MATERNITY AND PATERNITY BENEFITS...
A new three-year collective agreement between the National Workers Union (NWU) and St. Lucia Distillers Group of Companies is now in place, providing improved terms and benefits for workers across several occupational categories.
The agreement, covering the period 2026 to 2028, was signed on September 14 following negotiations facilitated by the Department of Labour, Co-operatives and Consumer Affairs through Deputy Labour Commissioner Nicolai Lansiquot.
Among the key provisions are salary increases over the three-year period and enhanced maternity and paternity benefits for employees represented by the NWU.
The agreement covers line workers, bottling staff, maintenance personnel, distilling staff and supply chain workers.
The latest agreement also builds on what the Department of Labour describes as a constructive working relationship between the NWU and St. Lucia Distillers, with both parties having a history of timely negotiations and the conclusion of successive agreements.
The Department of Labour continues to facilitate dialogue between employers and workers' representatives, with the aim of supporting timely agreements and promoting fair, stable and harmonious industrial relations.
