Saint Lucia’s visitor arrivals received a boost with the return of Sunwing Airlines from Toronto, Canada. The SWG116 touched down at the Hewanorra International Airport on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, signaling the final international airline to resume operations amid the pandemic.

The resumption of flights from Canada is welcomed by Saint Lucia, and is long-awaited good news for the Saint Lucia Hospitality and Tourism Association.

The return of Sunwing Airlines from Toronto was made possible through Saint Lucia’s commitment to visitor safety, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the globe.

Canada is the fourth largest source market for Saint Lucia. A total of 40,000 Canadians experienced the island’s hospitality and beauty in 2019.
