AMBASSADOR CHEN EXPRESSED GRATITUDE FOR TAIWAN’S AND SAINT LUCIA’S CONTINUED DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS.

As part of scheduled activities while in Saint Lucia, the Taiwan Youth Ambassadors paid a courtesy call on the acting Governor General of Saint Lucia at Government House.

The students visited His Excellency Cyril Errol Charles on Sep. 6, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Saint Lucia, His Excellency Peter Chen.

Ambassador Chen spoke on his gratitude for the diplomatic relations between the two countries.

“I would like to express my gratitude to His Excellency for the continuous support of Taiwan’s and Saint Lucia’s diplomatic relations and the benevolent friendship that has been extended to us. This year was the first time after the pandemic that youth ambassadors came back to Saint Lucia, this time with more diverse talent, enthusiasm, vitality, and artistic skills. Their visits during the past two days have been successful and I believe through Your Excellency’s warm welcome, they will have a greater experience for the remainder of their visit.”

Representative of the Youth Ambassador team, Justine Jing-Yi Shao expressed appreciation on behalf of the students.

“We are profoundly pleased and honored to be here in Saint Lucia and to be part of a friendship that is blossoming at the international stage. Please allow me to express our heartfelt gratitude for your kind hospitality and for extending an invitation to us. I would also like to sincerely thank Your Excellency and the Saint Lucian Government in favor of our efforts of international participation,” she said.
