The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport wishes to inform that its Northern Office, located in Union, Castries, will be closed from 12:30 p.m., on Friday, October 03, 2025 to Friday, October 17, 2025. This temporary closure is necessary to facilitate deep cleaning throughout the building.

During this period, critical services will be provided as follows:

TRANSPORT RELATED SERVICES - Service Bureau Agent office on Bourbon Street, Castries (St. Lucia Workers Credit Union):

• Renewal of Driver’s License
• Vehicle Registration
• Route Permit Omnibus transactions will be conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the closure period.
• Driving THEORY exams will be suspended in Castries for the period. PRACTICAL exams will continue as usual during the closure period.
• The general public is urged to utilize the following to conduct drivers and vehicle-related transactions:

1. Transport Division Vieux Fort Sub-Office
2. the digiGov platform (www.digiGov.govt.lc) which can also be accessed at thE ITC Centres in Micoud, Vieux Fort, Laborie and Soufriere.

ELECTRICAL SERVICES
Submission and collection of electrical inspection certificates will be done at the Public Utilities and Energy Unit, Ground Floor, Sir Stanislaus James Building, Waterfront, Castries.

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
All correspondence can be submitted to the Receptionist at the Material Laboratory, Union.

MATERIALS TESTING LAB will remain open.

Payments
The public is informed that all cash related payments will be done at the Accountant General’s Department on Jeremie Street, Castries.  PLEASE NOTE THAT CASH CLOSES AT 2:00 P.M.

The Department of Infrastructure, Ports and Transport apologizes to the general public for any inconvenience this closure may cause and looks forward to resuming FULL service on Monday, October 20, 2025.
