The Department of Education, Innovation and Gender Relations informs of the call for applications to pursue Four-year Bachelor’s Degree Programmes at Stillman College

 

Stillman College is a liberal arts college that was founded by the Presbyterian Church USA in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 1876. Located a short distance from the University of Alabama (UA), Stillman and UA students have access to classes at UA and Stillman at no additional tuition charge, providing the best of both worlds. Stillman is a College of Distinction and a Top College for 2019-2020 based on it’s Academic Programs in Business and Education and for Career Development.

  • February 1 for onsite programs
  • March 1 for online programs

Deadline for OAS Scholarship applications

Fall Semester:

  • February 15 for onsite programs
  • March 15 for online programs

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS:

  • 50% tuition waiver from Stillman College.

With tuition waiver, the current tuition is estimated at $4,774 per academic year and does not include mandatory fees and other costs of living expenses.

   

Scholarship bene/ts are subject to the academic performance of the scholarship recipient. In order to receive these benefits, the scholarship recipient should not be reported with cut ciris‹itis/‹ictory academic performance due to absences or failing courses.

 

Expenses not Covered by the Scholarship

  • Remaining tuition cost;
  • Application fees;
  • Housing costs
  • Meal plans
  • College fees;
  • Health insurance fees;
  • Orientation fees; and
  • Any additional fees not included in the OAS—Stillman Scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for consideration an applicant must:

  • Provide an unconditional admission letter from Stillman College;
    • This scholarship is open to new applicant:s as well as current students at Stillman who are from an OAS member state
  •      Submit a completed scholarship application form with all required supporting documents; and
  • Be a citizen and/or permanent legal resident of Saint Lucia;
  •  Be in good physical and mental health to complete the programme successfully

The following applicants are ineligible:

  • Current OAS scholarship holders;
  • The OAS General Secretary (GS/ OAS) staff and their immediate relatives or GS/OAS consultants; and
  • OAS Permanent officials and their immediate relatives.

To apply for an OAS-Stillman scholarship, applicants must complete the OAS online scholarship application form and attach ALL required supporting documentation as articulated in the 2020 Scholarship Opportunity for Citizens of OAS Member States brochure. Selection of Awardees

Stillman and the OAS will select the scholarship awardees. The names of the scholarship recipients will be published in July 2020 on the OAU Scholarship website www.oas.org/scholarships in April. The OAS  will contact selected candidates by email with the scholarship offer and instructions for the scholarship acceptance. Applicants who are not selected will not be contacted.
