2025 OAS-UWI SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The OAS General Secretariat (GS/OAS) through its Department of Human Development, Education and Employment (DHDEE), informs of the call for applications from persons desirous of pursuing online and onsite programmes with the University of the West Indies (UWI).
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for this scholarship opportunity, an applicant must:
⮚ provide an unconditional admission letter or a status letter from The University of the West Indies:
⮚ be a citizen and/or permanent legal resident of any OAS member state*
- Please note that OAS scholarships are not offered for studies in one’s country of citizenship or permanent legal residence. Citizens and/or permanent legal residents of Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago will not be considered for these OAS scholarships at the University campus located in their country of citizenship or legal residence. Please note that this rule does not apply to the Global Campus since its programmes are fully online.

ADMISSION PROCESS

The University of the West Indies and the OAS will select the scholarship awardees, based on the criteria listed above. The names of the scholarship awardees will be published no later than August 1, 2025 at www.oas.org/scholarships.
The OAS will contact selected candidates by email with the scholarship offer and instructions for the scholarship acceptance. Applicants who are not selected will not be contacted.
Deadline for the submission of applications is June 30, 2025.
