The Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development and Labour hereby informs of the call for applicants for the Diploma in Methodologies for the teaching of Spanish as a second language for Spanish teachers in the English-speaking Caribbean, to be held from August 1 to September 2, 2016.
This programme is financed by the Government of Chile through its International Cooperation Agency (AGCI) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile and is open to teachers of Spanish at the primary or secondary school level with at least five years of experience teaching.
Value of the Award
The scholarship will cover:
• Airfare
• Academic cost
• Accommodation for the duration of the course
• Allowance of CLP $500000 (US $700 approximately)
Application Procedure

To apply for this training, applicants must submit the following required documents:
• Application form
• Proof of fluency in Spanish
• Copy of Undergraduate degree
• Letter of support from the Employer supporting applicant’s training
• Health Certificate
• Curriculum vitae
• Letter of commitment by the applicant in case selected, indicating that the applicant will obtain health and life insurance before travelling to Chile
• Letter of commitment by the applicant promising to return to the Saint Lucia and work in the Education field for the next 2 years
