The Directorate of the European Union Erasmus Scholarship Programme invites suitably qualified persons to apply for its Erasmus+ scholarship programmes scheduled to commence September 2020.
Erasmus+ is the European Union's programme for education, training, youth and sport. Each year the programme selects new projects under a call for proposals. The 2020 call for proposals is for training of successful applicants from ACP countries who will be able to take part in any of the four components listed below, at institutions of Higher education.
- Erasmus+ Mundus Joint Master Degree
​Students at Master level can apply directly to any Erasmus Mundus programme for a full-degree scholarship covering tuition, travel and living allowance. For two years, Erasmus Mundus students study in at least two different Programme Countries and are awarded a joint, double degree, or multiple degrees, upon their graduation. Students apply directly to the programme of their choice. Most scholarship applications will need to be submitted between October 2019 and January 2020, for courses starting in September 2020.

2. Mobility schemes with one or more European HEIs
The International Credit Mobility (ICM) action extends the well-known Erasmus programme to non-EU Partner COuntries around the world, funding short-term mobility of students, researchers and staff to and from Europe. Students come to the host institution for 3-12 months, obtaining ' credits', which are transferable at other institutions as part of their degree. ICM also funds staff mobility for 5-60 days.

3. Capacity-Building projects in higher education
Students wishing to apply for these grants should contact the international office of their university to see which agreements are applicable to this programme. HEIs from ACP countries can take part in capacity-building projects in partnership with HEIs from Europe. These projects can be:
- Joint projects: to help develop, modernise and disseminate new ci=urricula, teaching methods or materials, as well as to boost quality assurance and governance of HEIs.
- Structural projects: to develop reform strategies to enhance education quality and relevance, promote regional cooperation and increase convergence with international developments in higher education.

4. Capacity-Building projects in youth
Capacity-building projects in youth, which last from 9 months up to 2 years, can focus on either capacity building or mobility activities. These projects are transnational projects based on multilateral partnerships between organisations which are active in the following fields of:
- youth in Programme and Partner Countries;
- aiming to foster cooperation and exchanges in the field of youth;
- the promotion of transnational non-formal learning mobility; and
- improving the quality of youth work, non-formal learning and volunteering, among other things.
