EXTENSION OF GOVERNMENT OF SAINT LUCIA BURSARY PROGRAMME 2022/202

The Ministry of Education, Sustainable Development, Innovation, Science, Technology and Vocational Training wishes to inform the deadline for the submission of applications for the Government of Saint Lucia Bursary scholarship offer, has been extended to Friday, August 12, 2022, for the academic year 2022/2023, to pursue studies at the following institutions:

• Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC),  Morne Fortune, Castries
• Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, Southern Extension
• Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School, A’ Level Department
• Ministry of Education Post Secondary Programme

To be eligible for an award, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

1. must be a citizen of Saint Lucia;
2. has either gained acceptance to, or is enrolled as a full time student at any of the above-mentioned institutions;
3. maintain 2.5 or above GPA, if he/she is a continuing student at the above institutions; and
4. must be from a low income household.

Application Process

Submit Applications online via: http://scholarships.education.gov.lc/

1. SCAN all required documents (Ensure that all documents are legible).
2. Complete the Online Application, and upload the required documents to your online application.
3. After submitting the online application, you will receive a confirmation email.

If you do not receive the confirmation email after submitting your online application, please send an email to: hrd@education.gov.lc/ hrdeducation.slu@gmail.com  or call 468-5229/5291/5431.  Incomplete applications will be deemed ineligible.

Required Documents:

1. Copy of acceptance letter or copy of transcript if applicant is a continuing student;
2. Copy of birth certificate;
3. NIC number (applicant must have obtained an NIC number);
4. Copies of relevant salary slips or job letter, where applicable; and
5. Statement of Need (which is available on the application form).

Applicants are informed that the GOSL Bursary Programme is only advertised during April to August 2022 for the 2022/2023 academic year.  Students enrolling at SALCC during the September 2022 and January 2023 intake, should apply for the Bursary Scholarship, during the aforementioned period.
