The Korean Development Institute (KDI) School of Public Policy and Management invites suitably qualified persons to apply for full and partial scholarship opportunities to pursue graduate studies in Korea commencing Spring 2020.  The areas of study for which applicants will be considered are:

  • Master of Development Policy (MDP)
  • Master of Public Policy (MPP)
  • Master of Public Management (MPM)
  • Master in Intellectual Property and Development Policy (MIPD)
  • Ph.D. in Public Policy (PP)
  • Ph.D. in Development Policy (DP)

 

Scholarships Offered:

MASTER’S

Global Ambassador Scholarship

  • tuition waiver;
  • monthly stipend (About $850);
  • Eligibility: Admitted international students;

Seoul G20 Global Leaders Fellowship

  • tuition waiver
  • monthly stipend (About $1000)
  • round-trip airfare;
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be currently employed in the public sector and meet one of the requirements below;
    1. Division head or higher level in the public sector
    2. Minimum 6 years of working experience in the public sector;
  • Applicants must complete and submit an online application (https://apply.kdischool.ac.kr/) for Seoul G20 Global Leaders Fellowship and submit all the required documents including an employment verification letter demonstrating the eligibility.

MIPD

  • Tuition waiver
  • Monthly Stipend
  • Round trip airfare

 

Ph.D

Global Ambassador Scholarship

  • Tuition waiver
  • Monthly stipend for the first academic year
  • The scholarship (tuition waiver & monthly stipend) will be reinstated every year only if students meet all scholarship terms and conditions.

Duration

  • The Master degree programmes are for 1.5 years (18mths); and
  • The Ph.D. programmes are for 3 years.

Requirements:

  • All applicants must be citizens of Saint Lucia;
  • Applicants should have completed at least 16 years of education (elementary, middle, high school, and university) in a foreign country;
  • For Master's degree program, applicants must meet one of the following:-
    • a bachelor's degree holder from an accredited college or university (min. 3 years); or
    • certificate of expected graduation must be submitted if one is expected to earn a bachelor's degree prior to the proposed date of admission; or
    • educational attainment equivalent to bachelor's degree (min. 3 years) approved by law.
  • For Ph.D. degree program, applicants must meet one of the following:-
    • both bachelor's (min. 3 years) and master's degree holder from an accredited college or university; or
    • certificate of expected graduation must be submitted if one is expected to earn a master's degree prior to the proposed date of admission; or
    • educational attainment equivalent to both bachelor's (min. 3 years) and master's degree approved by law.
