The Department of Economic Development, Transport and Civil Aviation is pleased to inform suitable qualified persons of The Qatar –ICAO Development Countries programme. This programme is a two (2) year Diploma Programme in Piloting which is being offered in the English Language for participants of non-Arabic speaking developing countries.
This programme is sponsored by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) and the Qatar Aeronautical College (QAC) and jointly administered by QCAA, QAC and the Technical Cooperation Bureau of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
The programme will be conducted by lecturers and specialists selected by QCAA and will take place in Qatar at the QCAA and QAC premises.
The course consists of the following:
- Classroom lectures
- Simulators
- Library
- Learning Management System
- Workshops
- Case studies
- On-site visits
OBJECTIVE
To augment the capabilities of the Developing Countries to implement ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices and to promote the safety and development of civil aviation.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- be a citizen of Saint Lucia;
- high school (Secondary School) graduate with passes in at least five (5) CXCs or equivalent, to include: English, Mathematics, Physics, and Geography; and
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores of at least: Reading 5.5, Listening 5.5, Writing 5.5 (Overall 5.5) or an equivalent.
BENEFITS
The QCAA and the QAC will bear the following expenses for the successful applicant:
- Tuition Fees
- Accommodation for the entire duration of the training programme in Qatar
- Transportation to the site visits is provided and arranged by the QAC
Please note that the QAC is not responsible for the medical insurance of the scholar.
