Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship Award for the 2017/2018 academic session.

Scholarships are tenable in Brunei Darussalam and provide applicants with the opportunity to study at any of the following institutions of higher learning:

• Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD);
• Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA);
• Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB); and
• Politeknik Brunei (PB).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible for selection an applicant must be:

1. a citizen or permanent resident of Saint Lucia;
2. nominated by their Government;
3. certified medically fit to undertake the scholarship and to study in Brunei Darussalam, prior to arrival in Brunei Darussalam;
4. between the ages of 18-25 for undergraduate and diploma programmes and must not exceed the age of 35 for postgraduate programmes on the 31^st July, 2017;

BENEFITS

The Government of Brunei Darussalam will bear the following expenses:

1. Tuition fees;
2. An economy class air-ticket to Brunei Darussalam from the applicant’s country of origin and vice versa upon completion of the programme;
3. A monthly personal allowance of BND500.00;
4. A monthly food allowance of BND150.00;
5. An annual book allowance of BND600.00;
6. Accommodation at the residential college of the University/Polytechnic.
