GOVERNMENT OF SAINT LUCIA - MONROE COLLEGE

Associate Degree in Sports Management BURSARY

 

The Ministry of Education, Sustainable Development, Innovation, Science, Technology and Vocational Training invites suitably qualified persons to submit applications for the Government of Saint Lucia-Monroe College Bursary to pursue an Associate Degree in Sports Management at Monroe College (Saint Lucia Campus).

 

Value of Bursary:

 

The bursary will be awarded to twenty (20) applicants.  Please note that fifty percent (50%) of tuition fees will be covered by the Government of Saint Lucia and the remaining fifty percent (50%) by Monroe College.  Applicants should also note:

 

  1. the bursary covers tuition cost only, and does not include the cost of books or any other expenses;
  2. bursaries are not transferrable, and can only be used by awardees;
  3. bursary applicants must submit a completed application and must be accepted to Monroe College commencing February 2023. (A letter of acceptance MUST be presented at the time of submitting application);
  4. awardees must maintain a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5; and
  5. awardees must agree to adhere and abide to all the rules and policies as outlined in the current school’s catalogue and/or Student Handbook.

 

To be eligible for an award, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

 

  1. be citizen of Saint Lucia and reside in Saint Lucia – proof of citizenship must be submitted;
  2. be in financial need (Financial Needs Assessment form must be completed).
  3. provide a resume detailing proof of community/club involvement in sports; and
  4. show proof of background/history in sports (Certification);

  1. Verified copies of Academic, Professional and Technical Certificates (Verified by the Department of Education).
  2. Transcripts of completed programmes from last educational institution.
  3. Letter of Admission to Institution
  4. Copy of Birth Certificate
  5. Two Letters of Recommendation
  6. Resume

Applicants are to submit completed applications at Human Resource Development Unit of the Ministry of Education, Sustainable Development, Innovation, Science, Technology and Vocational Training, 4th Floor, Francis Compton Building, The Waterfront, Castries.

 

The deadline date for the submission of completed application is Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

 

Please note that incomplete applications will be deemed ineligible and not be considered.

Late submissions will not be accepted.
