His Excellency Raymond Mou revealed last Tuesday that former Permanent Secretary, Hubert Emmanuel, will be Saint Lucia's first Ambassador to Taiwan.

Outgoing Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hubert Emmanuel, was named last week as Saint Lucia’s Ambassador to Taiwan.

The announcement was made last Tuesday night by Taiwan’s new Ambassador to Saint Lucia, H.E. Ray Mou, at a reception celebrating Taiwan’s 104th National Day.

Both countries had previously agreed to synchronize the announcements of the respective new ambassadors in Castries and Taipei, to coincide with the official celebration of Taiwan’s National Day.

Mr. Emmanuel has also served as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
