HEALTH SERVICES INCLUDE PROSTATE CANCER SCREENING.
As of Monday December 2, the Ministry of Health, Wellness and Elderly Affairs expanded the services of the Men’s Health Clinic under Universal Health Coverage. This expansion includes Prostate Cancer Screening using Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) tests.
The expansion of the services of the Men’s Health Clinic allows men to have the necessary space and privacy to be fully examined at the various Wellness Centers within their respective communities. Men wishing to access this service are encouraged to contact their nearest Wellness Center for more information on clinic days and times.
Under this expansion the Universal Health Coverage Unit implemented a Urology Clinic at the Anse La Raye Wellness Center. This clinic offers ultrasounds and biopsies of the prostate.
