TO MAINTAIN ACCESS TO THE BEACH DURING THIS CONSTRUCTION PERIOD, A FOOTPATH WILL BE CREATED NEAR THE SOUTH END OF REDUIT BEACH, ADJACENT TO THE FORMER STARFISH RESORT.

The Department of Crown Lands, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture, and Information, is excited to announce the upcoming activities for the development of the Beach Park at Mount Pimard. These activities will commence on Monday, August 4, 2025, and are expected to last for six weeks.

The initial phase of construction will include the following key activities:

  1. Erecting safety fencing to clearly define the construction zone and protect the public from work-related hazards.
  2. Clearing and demolishing existing non-permanent structures within the designated site.
  3. Performing groundwork, which will involve laying base material and grading for internal pathways and infrastructure.
  4. Installing utilities and preparing for landscaping and coastal enhancement elements.

To maintain access to the beach during this construction period, a footpath will be created near the south end of Reduit Beach, adjacent to the former Starfish Resort. This initiative aims to prioritise the safety and convenience of beachgoers, residents, and workers.

Once completed, the new Reduit Beach Park will feature:

Modern, family-friendly beach amenities  Improved accessibility and parking

 Designated vendor spaces

  Community recreational spaces

The Ministry extends its gratitude to the public for their patience and cooperation during this enhancement process. All efforts are being made to complete the project efficiently and with minimal disruption to the community and general beach activities. Updates on the progress of construction and details about the park’s features and timelines will be provided in the coming weeks.

We thank you for your understanding as we work to create a safe, enhanced, and vibrant public space for everyone to enjoy.
