The Deputy Prime Minister will deliver the closing address at an International Public Sector Conference in Barbados.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport, Hon. Philip J. Pierre, will deliver the closing keynote address at an international two-day Public Sector leadership Conference.
The conference is being hosted by the Cave Hill School of Business at the University of the West Indies (UWI), in collaboration with the Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management, the Caribbean Leadership Project, and the Management Institute for National Development. The theme is “Overcoming the Implementation Deficit: From Planning to Performance.”
The conference is designed to equip public sector professionals with highly practical tools and techniques that can help them build the skills and attitudes needed to improve their effectiveness in implementing planned activities. The two-day event will bring together members of the public service from across the commonwealth. Presenters will be drawn from Malaysia, Canada and across the Caribbean and will share success stories as well as cutting-edge information that will better help participants better understand industry challenges.
Hon. Philip J. Pierre will deliver the closing keynote address on “Bridging the gap between the public service and the people that they serve.” He is expected to leave the island today, and return on Wednesday, Sep. 23. The international public sector leadership conference is being held from Sep. 21 - 22 in Barbados.
