CNCDs, including diabetes, hypertension, stroke, heart attacks, and mental health disorders, are closely tied to unhealthy diet, insufficient physical activity, tobacco Smoking and alcohol abuse. Addressing these health challenges requires a concerted effort from both individuals and the healthcare system.

The Micoud Wellness Centre is a center of excellence for the treatment of non-communicable diseases, offering a broad range of services aimed at reducing the prevalence of NCDs.”

Baptiste, Minister of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs, stressed the importance of community involvement. “Events like this are essential for spreading awareness within our communities. While the government continues to invest in services, resources, and wellness centers, it is crucial that we all take proactive steps to maintain our health and reduce the need for visits to the health center,” the Minister urged.
