An exhibition at the Blue Coral Mall highlights the role which the arts can play in captivating the attention and thoughts of the masses.
The work of three remarkable artists is on display at the Blue Coral Mall as part of an exhibition titled “Beyond Emancipation.”
The exhibition, which has been described as “a phenomenal display of artistic genius,” presents the work of Francis “Photobias” Tobias, who has chronicled decades of Saint Lucia’s social and political history through photographs; John Phulchere, who used and interpreted politics and social issues brilliantly through caricature; and Ted Sandiford, who uses contemporary art through new media to speak on social issues.
The exhibition highlights the role which the arts can play in captivating the attention and thoughts of the masses.
Emancipation, the CDF notes, in a very broad sense speaks to Saint Lucian history, explains aspects of our culture and establishes a foundation for our future, as a people.
The exhibition runs until Sep. 5.
