The Government and people of Saint Lucia join the CARICOM region on the solemn occasion of the burial of Hon. Basdeo Panday, the fifth Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago.

Our region reflects on his trail-blazing legacy as a co-founder of the United National Congress and Prime Minister who prioritized the development of his homeland.

Saint Lucia extends its deepest sympathies to his family, loved ones and the Government of Trinidad & Tobago.
