The Government of Saint Lucia joined 136 United Nations member states including CARICOM member states who have established diplomatic relations with the State of Palestine.
The official signing ceremony took place on Sep. 14 in New York at Ambassadorial Level.
H.E. Dr. Riyad Mansour, Permanent Observer to the United Nations, signed for the State of Palestine and H.E. Menissa Rambally Permanent Representative to United Nations, signed for the Government of Saint Lucia.
"today, we join with CARICOM member states who have established relations witht he State of Palestine as our own testament of solidarity," H.E. Rambally said. "The formal instrument establishing diplomatic relations which we are signing today establishes our mutual committment to deepen our already close relations and to further establish our solidarity witht he Palestinian people."
