"LEGACY", an art and fashion exhibition, officially opened this week at the Alliance Francaise pyramid, in tribute to internationally renowned Saint Lucian Artist, the late Sir Dunstan St. Omer.

Family and friends of Sir Dunstan as well as art enthusiasts, gathered for a cocktail reception to celebrate the launch of the new exhibition. In attendance was the Governor General, Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy; representatives of the island's diplomatic corps; officials of Alliance Francaise; Nobel Laureate, Derek Walcott; Senator Kentry Jn. Pierre and lady Cynthia St. Omer.
The exhibition showcases the paintings of Sir Dunstan’s eldest sons Alwyn and Luigi St Omer and the innovative crochet fashion by daughter-in-law Marcella St. Omer. The Amy Winehouse Steel Pan Orchestra from the Boys Training Centre provided entertainent for the evening, which also featured a mini exhibition of Art and Craft and a fashion show.
Alwyn St. Omer, son of Sir Dunstan, described LEGACY as "...an exhilarating attempt in painting and fashion to capture the beautiful landscape and culture of St Lucia, whilst also introducing abstract themes on climate change in tribute to a Saint Lucian legend."
LEGACY is for one week only. The exhibition opens daily from 10:00am to 6:00pm from Tuesday the 15th to Thursday the 17th December and from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Friday, December 18th, 2015.
LEGACY was organised by House of St. Omer and St. Omer Art Institute with support from TEPA, LIME, Alliance Francaise and By Charlie.
