The Department of Education and Digital Transformation informs the public of the call for applications for Humber’s Global Summer School 2026: Critical AI Literacy for Transforming Teaching and Learning Certificate.
This program is designed to equip educators with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to effectively and ethically integrate artificial intelligence into their teaching practice. It provides participants with critical understanding of AI technologies and their implications for education.
Ideal for faculty members, academic leaders and educators, this certificate program supports the development of innovative teaching approaches, enhances instructional capacity and promotes responsible and impactful use of AI in the classroom.

Program Content: Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion along with a micro-credential in Teaching and Learning with Generative AI and two core components.
- Micro-credential Course – consisting of four modules designed to build foundations and practical knowledge and hands-on problem-based project course to design innovative solutions using AI tools, applying the concepts learned throughout the program to real educational contexts.
- Learning approach – the program includes expert insights, collaborative learning opportunities and practical strategies to support the ethical and responsible adoption of AI in teaching and learning.
Fees:
- $2,795 CAD: Bed & Breakfast housing option at the Humber’s Lakeshore Residence ($2,095 USD)
- $1,995 CAD: without housing ($1,525 USD)
Program fees include:
- Program Delivery of 42 hours of in-person instruction
- Team Building with Humber leaders in the Humber Arboretum
- Lunch on weekdays
- Welcome and Closing Reception
- Health insurance for the duration of the program dates
Bed and Breakfast Accommodation Option:
- 11 nights of accommodation (July 12 – July 23, 2026)
- Daily breakfast during the program dates
- Linens and towels for the duration of stay

- Free access to Humber's on-campus Fitness Facility and Drop-In Classes
- Free on-site laundry facilities – only need to supply detergent
