The Department of Education, Innovation and Vocational Training invites applications for Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Scholarship Programme from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Port of Spain.
GENERAL INFORMATION
KOICA aims to foster friendly, cooperative relationships, and mutual exchanges with partner countries by offering support for their socioeconomic development. KOICA is involved in a diverse range of initiatives, including the Fellowship Programme, Korea Volunteer Dispatching Programme, Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief, Public-Private Partnership, Bilateral and Multilateral Projects, among others.
TO BE ELGIBLE APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
- be a citizen Saint Lucia;
- must be government officials and receive official nomination from their respective governments;
- under the age of 40
- must be in good health, both mentally and physically;
- must have obtained the required degree;
- Master’s Programme - Bachelor’s Degree with preferably two (2) years minimum experience in the field of study
- Doctoral Programme – Master’s Degree with preferably three (3) years minimum experience in the field of study
- must have a strong command of English, both in speaking and writing;
- must not be a past recipient of a scholarship for a degree programme from the Korean Government;
- must be employed by the government during and after the programme;
- must meet the criteria set by the university they are applying to.
