TAIWAN ICDF & I-SHOU MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIPS 2024
The Department of Education, Innovation and Vocational Training informs of the call for applications for the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) and I-Shou Medical Scholarship Programmes 2024.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR TAIWAN SCHOLARSHIPS
- Applicants who have been recipients of any of the above-mentioned scholarships from the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and are desirous of continuing studies in the Republic of China (Taiwan) through the 2024 scholarships, should note that their graduation date in Taiwan must be prior to July 31, 2023. Additionally, applicants should have already returned to Saint Lucia before February 2024 and submission of a copy of the stamped page of their record of arrival from their passport must be attached to their application form;
- The applicant should be Saint Lucian;
- Scholarship recipients who have been disqualified by the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) or the school are not eligible to apply again.; and
- Applicants should apply for ONLY ONE programme. Multiple applications will result in the direct disqualification of your application.
- THE TAIWAN ICDF SCHOLARSHIPS
This year, the scholarship programme enables applicants to pursue studies from twenty-nine (29) study programmes at twenty-one (21) partner universities. All programmes will be taught in English. Please note that applicants should choose ONE programme and complete BOTH the university and the ICDF Scholarship online application form.
The Taiwan ICDF provides each scholarship recipient with a full scholarship, including return airfare, housing, tuition and credit fees, insurance, textbook costs and a monthly allowance.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Applicants should print out the hard copy of the necessary application forms, along with the documents listed below and submit at the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
1. a photocopy of applicant’s passport or proof of nationality;
- a photocopy of applicant’s highest education certificate verified by the Ministry of Education, Sustainable Development, Innovation, Science, Technology and Vocational Training;
- official transcripts;
- two reference letters; and
- a Police Clearance Letter/ Police Record.

Saint Lucia Government Officials:
For Saint Lucia Government Officials who are interested in the scholarship programmes, approval documents from their assigned Ministry will be needed along with the relevant Taiwan Scholarship application form. Also, these officials MUST complete the Government Scholarship Application form and submit to the Human Resource Development (HRD) Unit of the Department of Education, Innovation and Vocational Training, with copies of all documents required for the scholarship programme.

All application packages should be delivered to the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), Reduit Beach Ave., Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
The deadline for submission of applications for the 2024 ICDF Scholarship and I-SHOU Medical programmes is FRIDAY, 15TH MARCH, 2024.
Any submissions beyond the deadline date, or without all required documents will not be accepted. Please be informed that submitted documents will NOT be returned to applicants.
